What is GOCCO? GOCCO is a Japanese screen-making machine created by the RISO company. It burns holes into a sheet of film which is then attached to a metal frame to make a screen. Once this screen has been made, it can then be used to hand-print on fabric, cardboard and other surfaces by pulling the ink through the holes in the screen using a squeegee. The environmental benefits of GOCCO over traditional screen printing include: significantly reduced energy consumption, significantly reduced water usage, and no need for harmful chemicals.
